Most corn tortillas are small in size, so I’m always eager to try a larger tortilla wrap and these brown rice tortillas looked like too much fun to pass up.
Inside the package, the tortillas are separated individually by a layer of paper, and they come out of the package with brown spots…looking as though they’d just come off from a hot griddle. irst tried them when making cheese enchiladas but I discovered that these tortillas, unfortunately, tended to split and break when attempting to roll up the enchilada. I tried heating them first, but with the same result. I also discovered that they have a texture that is much chewier than corn or flour tortillas. So, if you prefer the softer corn tortilla, this one will take a little getting used to.
Have you tried them? What do you think?
