Being the highly devoted cheese lover that I am, it was with great eagerness and anticipation that I opened my first bag, recently. I found these snacks to be small and light—maybe slightly larger than a silver dollar—their unique size, shape, aroma, and texture let you know that you are in for a different snacking experience.
These crisps come in several common cheese flavors, and I opted for the cheddar cheese flavor for my first bag. My first impression was a big rush of serious cheddar cheese flavor. After eating a couple of handfuls of this snack, I realized much to my surprise, and somewhat to my disappointment, that my love of cheese notwithstanding, I wasn’t enjoying the intense, concentrated, burst of cheese. It seemed to me that the powerful cheese flavor needed something different to offset the cheese, something complementary, something that wouldn’t compete with the cheese, but enhance the experience. What I personally felt it needed was…grain.
It seemed to me that these crisps would make an excellent topper for green salad, maybe a crunchy cheese to go along with tacos, or to crumble as a topping on some casserole.
I will definitely give these another try. A friend of mine on gluten-free diet, loves these. Have you tried Whisps? What do you think?

My experience with Cheese Whisps is similar to yours. They were a bit too much flavor-wise and the texture was odd. I agree they would be better complementing other foods.
