Chick-Fil-A has an ingenious way to make their chicken sandwich available gluten free. (Just think of it as Build Your Own Sandwich.)
When you order the gluten-free bun, the sandwich comes with the bun in its original, sealed package, and the sandwich ingredients come in a separate container. All you have to do is assemble the bun and the ingredients, a small inconvenience, in my opinion. With the bun in a sealed package, the whole issue of cross-contamination is resolved.
I recently ordered a “Gluten Free Sandwich” at their drive-thru and discovered, too late, that I had received everything except a bun, so apparently, when ordering, it’s best to specify that you want the “gluten free bun”.
By the way, the bun is very delicious, and is very high quality and is an excellent match for the sandwich ingredients.
