I discovered this bread at an Alberson’s Market in my area. I’m always on the lookout for delicious gluten-free bread and couldn’t resist trying a new brand. Based on the package information, this bread is also suited for a low-carb, Keto diet. Like so many others, I’m looking for ways to cut down my carb intake, and so I was also interested to see how the bread stacks up as gluten free, and low-carb.
First, I tried the bread in a sandwich. Right away, something seemed off, however and the sandwich ingredients just didn’t seem to be working with this bread. There was a little bit of an aftertaste, and there was something missing with the texture. I then decided to just toast a couple of slices of the bread and see if I could get a better understanding of the bread itself, without the competing flavors from the sandwich.
Finally, I came to the conclusion that this is simply a different type of bread entirely. If you’re looking for that delicious, chewy, melt in your mouth texture of traditional bread, this isn’t the one. At least, it’s not for me. This is an entirely new take on bread, and the ingredients list proves it. It’s apparently an acquired taste, but for me, it’s a taste that I haven’t quite yet acquired.
