I ran out of Oreo cookies in my jar and decided to give these cookies from Glutino a try. The ‘super-stuffed ‘variety of this cookie was the only one available at the time. The gluten-free chocolate “cookie part” of the cookie is just perfect—crunchy and delicious. The extra-stuffed cookie, for me, was too much, and too sweet, and overpowered the chocolate cookie.
The stuffing tasted too much like cake frosting, and not the magical inside of the traditional chocolate sandwich cookie. For me, these two components—the chocolate cookie, and the magic stuffing, form the perfect partnership, and one ingredient shouldn’t try to outshine the other, but in this case, the stuffing and its sweetness, overpowers the excellent chocolate cookie.
I’m going to try the regular size stuffing, and not the super stuffing next time and see if that makes a difference. Have you tried these?
